How do I make an appointment?

It is best to contact the salon directly by phone or email.

We do not take bookings via our social media accounts

How long will my appointment take?

Depending on what appointment you are booking in for, we allow 3 to 3 ½ hours for a full colour service.

A haircut, toner or blowdry & style appointment we allow 45 minutes to an hour.

Do you offer colour consultations?

Yes, we do offer free of charge colour consultations. Please contact the salon via phone or email to book.

Bring along any screenshots of the type of colour/cut you are trying to achieve, even bring pictures of colours you don’t like so the stylist can have a clear understanding of your needs.

How many sessions will it take to achieve my desired colour?

Each client’s hair lifts differently to colour so we can provide you with an estimate timeframe, however we will not compromise the health of your hair in the process. If you have coloured your hair recently (in particular home box dye’s) then we may need to cleanse your hair first to remove as much build up as we can.

Alternatively if your hair is damaged then we may need to do 2 or 3 sessions of colour to maintain the integrity of your hair to prevent breakage. With major colour corrections or scalp bleaches we strongly recommend the use of Olaplex to maintain the integrity of your hair in the process.

What is Olaplex and how do I use it?

It is a simple three-step process which includes an active ingredient that works on a molecular level to seek out broken bonds in the hair that are caused by chemical, thermal, and mechanical damage.

You can use Olaplex to restore compromised hair, or add it to another service to provide the ultimate breakage insurance. This means, we are able to leave colour on longer to push you colour further.

Step 3 – the take home bottle is a weekly treatment for you to do at home. On damp hair, work a cap size amount through your mid length to ends. Leave it in for no less than 10 minutes. Then shampoo and condition as normal. This is a pre-wash treatment that you must wash out, not rinse out.

How do I use my take home toner – Fabuloso Pro?

Wash your hair as normal and use the Fabuloso Pro as a conditioning toner. Once washed, remove as much water from your hair as you can, use as much Fabuloso Pro as you would use of your normal conditioner and leave in your hair for 3-5 minutes and rinse. If you feel you didn’t achieve the desired tone, leave it on longer next time. Or alternatively, if you feel it toned it too much mix the Fabuloso Pro with your regular conditioner.

Do you do extensions and how much do they cost?

We are stockists of Great Lengths Tapes and Keratin Bond extensions. Please contact the salon directly to arrange a free of charge, no obligations consultation. Please note, no quotes will be provided over the phone or via email.

Do you have a cancellation policy?

Yes. We do have a 48hour cancellation policy. If you cancel inside of 48hours or do not attend a confirmed appointment you will be charged $120 over the phone or at your next appointment.

What if I am not 100% happy with my colour or cut?

At hair&harlow we pride ourselves in our fail safe consultation process. However, we want you to be 100% happy with your colour service. Please contact the salon directly via phone within 10 days of your appointment and we will get you in to the salon immediately to identify the problem and assess your needs. In this event, if a toner or cut is required this will be free of charge, however, the wash/blowdry and style will be charged at $60 and may not be completed by a senior stylist.
